I don't really agree. With almost every truck on the market, they could use a leveling kit and just a tad in overall height. All terrain tires help too. Color is always a factor for me too. But I like the way these look, which is one of the main reasons I bought one. I have a Rubi and added a 1.5" leveling kit and .75" rear spacers and love it. I may, emphasizing the may, go with 35s when the stock Rubi tires wear out but will retain the stock wheels. I'm not fond of aftermarket wheels, grossly oversized tires, and especially wheel spacers making the tires extend far past the fenders. It's just not me.

But it's all a matter of opinion. I respect anyone who enjoys the hobby regardless how they personalize their particular vehicle.

My sentiments exactly. Stock Sport S, non max tow, on Willys take off wheels & 285/70/17’s. My artificial hips thank me every time I get in & out of it.

You should be more concerned with being thankful that you have $10,000 to put into your lift, new wheels, huge tires, and all the other stuff you probably did. Not all of us have that kind of budget to spend on a truck that already cost close to $50,000 to purchase. Just sayin'.

Again everyone is missing the point. Even Jeep thinks a Striped Base Model it’s not that great looking or they wouldn’t offer 9 other improved with better visual cues / optioned models.

All of which look good from the factory. With each one slightly improved coming from the factory.
I don't think you know how capitalism works.

We have sold quite a few of these OverCab racks because people didn’t like the stock boxy look of the JT. The rack

adds a little robustness…. And some great functionality.
how much height does the rack add?
how do you account for fixed bed mounting and hydraulic body mounts?
And are u sponsored by metalcloak?! ?

I think stock looks good in a variety of trims, except the ones w/out a rock rail or step. The exposed sides look awful to me.
I still can’t make up my mind what to install. Kissed a rock already too so I need to get on it asap

The JT should have had a larger rear door. It’s my belief that most of the ”ugly” is because of that and the dachshund esque ratio of tire to body that is weird for what most people picture when they think of a Jeep

I guess depends on how you use the truck. Personally stock Willys is a bit to high of the ground for loading the bed, and wife/kids getting in and out. It does look cool but not that great day to day.

While I agree, I ordered the SportS so I didn't have to pay extra for stuff I wanted to upgrade anyway.

I love how even after updating my comments and several post in the thread people still are missing the point. They are both our JT's and I personally don't like the looks of a striped no option base model. Probably should have used another term than ugly.

I love the this platform and was not calling anyone out for their purchase or choices on their JT's or any other Jeep for that matter. Everyone has an opinion on what looks good and I'm sure some don't like my Mojave and I'm ok with it.

Regardless of what I spent on my Mojave and will be spent on the BASE SPORT we purchased with almost ZERO options (top & auto). I have worked my A-- and saved for this one and done every bit of the work on it and the next one we will build. So it is a little about personal choices. I am glad for what I have been blessed with.

I have not seen one person on this thread that has commented that doesn't at least have one or all of this on their jeep.
  1. Factory Allows or better
  2. Upgraded Tires / NOT plan skinny 245 x 17 tires
  3. Some form of Rock Sliders or Running Boards
  4. Up graded factory bumper vs the plane plastic cover
Thank God we live in America where we have choices and still have the freedom to voice our preferences and opinions.

Hey there snowflake, you're entitled to your opinion but when you're so vocal about it expect a response.

If you can't handle it then keep your opinion to yourself. Don't ask others to not be offended by it then get offended at their opinion.

Don't delete your tread. Stand by your opinion and defend it.

Your wrong. About a lot of things. But hey, it's a free country. You're allowed to be.
