I moved to my cottage on the lake about 5 years ago. It's a 1,330 acre lake 1 hour south of Lansing. Best decision I ever made.

When I got hired at my job, during the "meet the team" zoom meeting, one of my coworkers got up, walked to the fridge in his tighty whities, and cracked a beer before sitting back down. It was amazing.

My husband an I would love to find a ‘cottage’ (house) that we can retire in. The perfect place would be lake-side (with a dock)in the mountains somewhere away from the city clutter but close enough for a short trip for beer & groceries.

I work from home also….but my view is a typical neighborhood street. Not even worth a photo.
