Don't even get me started on how huge those top frames look...plus the added cross pieces it requires...

I want this to work, but even a manual version is not going to cut it for me due to the corners, frames, and the bad-looking fabric. I also can't imagine it being easy to remove if you want to go naked either.

The factory soft top just seems to get the job done so much better as it is. The only thing you have to stomach is putting it in the bed when you take it off.

The fabric color is odd IMO. It reminds me of an old black shirt that is starting to fade to a brownish hue. Maybe it's just the lighting.

That was the first thing that jumped out to me as well. I don’t care for that color, the corners are off color too. Should be the same tweed material the factory tonneau is made from, that’s nice stuff.

I don't think they are going to sell many at that price. It's a neat concept and looks better than the stock soft top. Not $5500 better.

I think I would rather have a hoist for my hard top and a supercharger!

IMO, a removable rear window for the hard top would be great. Sort of similar to the soft top on,rear panel off look. As an aside, has any one removed the hard top, rotated 180 deg. and set it on the bed just for a dimensional look see? If a bed rack were properly fabbed up, hard top storage on the fly.

It's on the same cost level as the JLU power top. If you managed to sell the top that comes on your jeep for reasonable money, it would be about the same. I don't think this looks QUITE as tidy as the JLU top, but a little better color matching in the production process could level that out.
That said, I'd be more interested in a Safari Top combination like Smittybilt had for the JK ( Safari HARD TOP - Smittybilt ), but as a top/cap 2 part combination.

Right, so if you got this and sold off your soft top for a grand, or hard top for two, it would be about the same. I see LOTS of JLU-Rs with that power top.

I shouldn't have to sell anything in order to get back down to a similar price point. If I do, that means it's too expensive. JLU-R's don't have to sell off anything they own in order to.....
