As has been said you need to widen your search.

The last 3 vehicles I’ve bought have all been out of state, Florida, North Carolina and Texas. Two were new and the other slightly used.

The gator color jeep I mentioned above is the best within 500 miles of me

Thank you for all that information, I have gotten screwed by dealerships before and Im the type of person that would pay the dealer price to just get the car home and not wait or go through that haggling BS.

I will definitely try to not rush this process this time around and take what you said into account.
For sure take your time during these processes! If something doesnt feel right take a step back and even ask here. If the car sells in that time oh well, they certainly made more than one of them so youll see something else soon enough.

As some one else recommended taking a friend, ideally some one that understands car sales isnt a bad idea. I went with my gf (i didnt know what research she did beforehand. It was ZERO) to look at a car and the salesman did everything he could to get me away from that table and tried to take advantage of my gf’s ignorance and sell her a car for 2k over blue book while the exact same model and 20k less miles on another lot listed for 4k less.. To make matters worse the car had been on the lot for over 90 days and they wouldnt budge on the price at all which is absurd. He kept trying to get me to go “wash my car” with their free wash coupons or take some time away while they “figure out the boring stuff” like screwing her over. I caught onto it immediately though and didnt budge. I already wasnt going to let her buy that car but i figured I’d play the game for practice and waste their time at this point because of their shady ass behavior. Got everything down to financing minus the credit pull, they had plates and everything sorted, then I grabbed some sodas and waters from their snack bar, my gf, and walked away from the table. Also took the 2 $40 car wash/detailing vouchers with me as a f*** you for the crap they were trying to pull.

The gf was upset initially as her mind was married to the idea of buying that car until I detailed just how shitty of a deal that was. How they were trying to sell her a car thats 4k over market and wouldnt negotiate. Then how she shouldnt be upset about missing out on a monthly payment for a car she didnt even want. Got her some food and she is incredibly thankful for what I did and happily driving a car she loves

Unfortunately someone else bought the Jeep I was looking at. You are right though, rather wait and not pay for a car I don't want

I'd say if power locks and windows are a must have, just wait until you can find a Sport S. As another user mentioned, he spent a couple grand and a lot of his time trying to switch that out, and it was a huge pain in his ass. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should or would. I'd only get the regular sport if that's something you are cool with. For me, I didn't need all kinds of bells and whistles, but I really wanted the power windows and locks, so Sport S was a no brainer. It's not your roll up window you have to worry about (I wouldn't mind that), it's the other windows that you can't really open/close while you're driving. And do you want to fiddle with keyed entry everytime you get in and out? Also, that 7" touchscreen is light years ahead of the little 5" display, and Apple car play/Android auto is a nice feature to have IMO. Just things to think about.
