I’m trying to install pod lights and when I removed the cowl I saw a connector just sitting there and a tube at the bottom of the corner of the windshield. Can anyone help me to identify what these are for? I can’t think of an option where a connector like this could be used. I'm trying to route the wires to the switch inside the cab. I don’t see any way in by the cowl. There’s no plug or hole I can use. I’ll have to see if there is a plug somewhere else. Thanks for the help.

Most likely a for sensor if you don’t have the safety/highway assist package.
We don’t have the adaptive system on this jeep but we do on our other one. I‘ll look at it to see if it’s used on the other one. Thanks

Thats what the connector is for, the adaptive system. I’m guessing the tube is some type of windshield drain?

thanks PuddleJumper!

The path inside, if you have the automatic, is the plastic plug in the firewall where the clutch linkage goes through.

Thanks. But I have the manual. Is there another way in?

i don’t have the Aux switches.
I found a way to the interior through the cowl weather strip near the door jam and dashboard. It's a tight fit but it's protected from the elements. Not sure I can get a photo...but I'll try

If you look at instructions for aux switches they will show you a way in under the glove box if I remember correctly.

I think what you're thinking about are the instructions telling the user where the Aux leads are located...One under the glove box and the other by the batteries in the engine bay
