1966 J-3600 Gladiator FSJ 304amc T-18/D20 twin stick, Magniflow exhaust. the twin stick provides dedicated dual range front wheel drive and adds low range 2wd. nearly a foot shorter wheelbase is an advantage also.

these things {2021 gladiators} are WILLYS heritage. I'm proud to own one. it's bone stock, not even a garage door opener. wish there was more gas though.

Kaiser made Gladiators and that line ended with the '92 Grand Wagoneer. fca has the trademark and can put it on a golfcart if they want.

anyone else got one of each??

this should be fun...

That’s a beautiful pair. My hope is to get a Willys Gladiator and eventually swap the hood and fenders with a mock Kaiser front end. That’s my favorite design.

Unfortunately, that's a stock picture of the J4000, as mine's not where I can get a picture of it.
Hopefully it'll come out this summer for some well-deserved restoration.

The Gladiator moniker ended with the 1971 model year. AMC dropped, "Gladiator," and simply went with Jeep (or J-Series) truck for 1972.

I have a sting gray willys and recently sold my old j10, before that was a Cherokee chief, which I still regret selling, but the gladiator willys is definitely nicer.

I put my Skamper on "Sky", my M715 5/4 and drove it to the highest part of my property. It attached really well to the brackets on the Jeep, but the M715 is not good for going camping in if it requires a road trip...although I still might try it.

I had to use Sky to pull my 87 Square body out of the mud where I had gotten terribly stuck at my neighbors. As I was rocking back and forth the distributor cap must have gotten loose, and now the jeep would not start. So I had to return with my 3rd-gen 4runner the next day and I was able to retrieve both stuck vehicles. It was very embarrassing because I hardly knew my neighbor, and he had offered me some wood and I was imposing on him. But at least I got all my cars in one shot, which was very rare. Since then I've put winches on everything.

I really should take the M715 on the road to camp, but they are not good long distance trucks. For driving at 5 MPH through swamps and ravines carrying a ton, they do great. Getting the slide-in into the bed is no fun but it would be an adventure.
