Hi All,

Just picked up a 2021 Sport S with the 6-speed to replace my aging Jeep Commander. To be honest, I haven't had a car payment in 20 years so moving to something newer was a mental and financial leap for me but I've wanted a JT for a while.

I plan to build out another overland rig, the Commander served me well on several cross-continental road trips/camping adventures. Unfortunately at almost 20 years old, and with 250,000 miles on the odometer the old rig was needing weekly maintenance. A cracked AC liquid line and a fumbled aluminum brazing job on my part was the last straw. This Sport S came up at the right price so I jumped on it. For sure I probably should have saved my pennies for a Rubicon but I can get pretty close by putting in upgrades as my budget allows. Besides, I'm 98% highway driving- overlanding for me is finding a forestry road and a decent pullout to camp overnight... and then hitting the road in the morning.

Anyhow, super excited to be part of the Gladiator club!

Congrats on your new ride! I recently bought a 22 Overland and am very happy with it. Although the first day of driving on the interstate at 75 mph, I experienced my first "death wobble". Scared the crap out of me. Took to the dealership and they said it was the steering damper. Repaired under warranty and no problems since. I really enjoy my Overland and am finding there are a billion ways to make it your own. This forum is awesome. I learn things all the time from some great Jeep owners. Welcome to club!
