Hey all. I'm new to the JT scene. Just ordered a new 2021 Gladiator Sport 3 weeks ago. Anxiously waiting for delivery. I've been driving an F150 since since 1999. I have other Jeeps, 2 WJs and a TJ, but this will be my 1st ever non-Ford pickup.

I was told by Jeep Customer Care that the current wait time is 7-9 weeks from the order date. Is that what others are experiencing right now?

I ordered mine on 4/27 (Base sport manual) and it is in the shipping phase with ETA of 6/18-7/2. So on Tuesday will be 8 weeks. So it looks for me it will be between 8-10 weeks. Some people have received theirs in 3 weeks others such as Canada seem to take 4+ months.

Depends on what you order. 30 days (5/8-6/8) here for a rubicon order. I skipped some factory add-on, like bedliner, side steps, floor mats, headliner, and tonneau upgrades—went aftermarket on my own.

Same here. No factory upgrades. Everything is less expensive and nicer aftermarket. Only "upgrades" are wheels and tires the parts department are ordering for me and adding to my invoice.

Right. I did go after things in the order that I didn’t want to mess with later that I wanted or would be nice to have: Aux switch bank+towing, LEDs, steel bumpers, leather choice, 8.4” UConnect, safety group & ACC. Mine is basically loaded except for the fact that I forgot to add the heated seats/wheel and remote start, but I didn’t use them much at all on my 2018 JLU, I’m not heartbroken.

Welcome to the JT club. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. Took about 10 weeks from order to delivery but it was worth the wait.

@dans1911

Picked mine up Saturday and was grinning the whole time on the 150 mile ride home. Got my first "Jeep Wave" about 15 minutes into the trip. All I can say is it's worth the wait.

Only pic I have so far.

How's the shifting?

How's the shifting?
Honestly, I think it is pretty good for what it is. Shifts are smooth with good tactile engagement. As far as gearing I think a lot of peoples gripes come from 3.73 ratio. The 4.10 seems more than adequate to me with the stock 33's.

I opted for the manual for a couple of reasons. First, coming from the 5.7 Hemi in the WK I knew I would always be comparing the lack of power in the 3.6 if I chose the auto. Second, I wanted to go back to a more involved driving experience and was happy to see I could get the MT in the JT. Since I will be focused on shifting it will give me something else to do besides longing for that 5.7 hemi power. Also, the $2,000 "savings" didn't hurt either and let me add some more options to the list ?

I will confess I stalled it out once on the way home at a red light around an hour into the trip but that was it. I have read folks say that the clutch engagement point seems to move around while it is breaking in and that is really what it seemed like happened in this case. The clutch seemed to grab much sooner in the pedal release than it had previously.
