I am happy with my original muffler but was reading that if you add a bigger muffler tip to the original exhaust that it would give it a different sound.
Anyone do this. Pros and Cons.
thanks in advance.

A "muffler tip" is just that: the very end of your exhaust system. People usually change them for looks (chrome or black). I don't see any way that the tip is going to change the sound of your exhaust. If you want to change the sound, it's going to be more involved than just an exhaust tip that you can pick up at virtually any parts store.

Maybe you are referencing the resonator delete that many on the forum have done. That changes the tone, from what I have read. A quick search of the forum will pull multiple threads on that, but it's definitely not the same as changing an exhaust tip.

Actually, an exhaust tip can change the sound (tone and, to some extent, volume) of an exhaust system. However, I can't see it making much of a difference on the JT.
