...and therefore nowhere near as strong. I like this one because it’s one welded piece. I suppose the bed it’s bolted too may crumple but I know this bar won’t.

I wouldn’t trust anything bolted to the bed rails to provide any structural assistance in a rollover incident. If this bolted to the bed floor over body mounts, maybe - but nothing bolted to the bed rails only is really going to help in a rollover
