I have a 23willys jt with the 7inch head unit an base speakers.

ive installed a set of Terra Acoustics dash speakers. They work great.

I just got a set of Kicker KSC69034 6x9 coax speakers and attempted to install them. No matter how I switch the wires, I get no response from the speaker.
I didn’t expect a lot of volume until I get the amp, but I expected the to make some noise. Any got an idea what the problem might be.

You need the amp. They need more power.

If you unplug the old ones while the radio is playing, it will lock out that channel because it thinks there’s a problem with the system. Plug in the new speaker, then disconnect the battery and see if it comes back. I was tripping out when trying to do a before and after sound check when installing fosgates in my wife’s old JLU and the same thing kept happening to me.

Yup that was it, after spending all day trying to get the wiring correct… it was 124 degrees outside, I remote started the truck before going outside each time I adjusted the wiring. I forgot to turn it off before plugging it in…
