The 7-pin connector definitely can be an easy separate or snugger fit depending on how new the vehicle is or the amount of use on or off-road. However, it will separate with a little patience!Just received mine! To those have had it installed, any tips? I had planned to do this before leaving for work this morning, but removing the existing harness isn't as easy as the @Diode Dynamics video (granted that was an F150) seems.
Thanks John! I've admittedly haven't given it a lot of effort thus far. I'll get under there with a creeper and gloves which should be more effective than bare hands while in business casual attire. The 7-pin connector definitely can be an easy separate or snugger fit depending on how new the vehicle is or the amount of use on or off-road. Release the clip, wiggle and pull. Wiggling up down left right helped me. It does have a gasket it seems to be snug. Thanks John! I've admittedly haven't given it a lot of effort thus far.
