Thus far, the behavior of the new tires is really good, I can't notice a difference in handling, the way she drives, and the noise level is still around what the old tires were, and they were street tires. I'm very impressed with these thus far, and I'll post up mpg numbers when I fill up the tank again and run it for about a week. I don't go by that onboard crap that the display shows, I calculate my real MPG.
I haven't had a vehicle yet that the on board MPG equaled the real MPG.

Looks much better, more proportionate and aggressive over the street tires.

Changing your tires made it look like the way it should be. They look good.
I went from the 245-75r17 stock tires to 285-70r17's and noticed a drop of around 2 mpg's.
I do the math like you instead of relying on the trip computer, although they always come very close.
My speedometer is only off 1 mph at 55. Shifting in 8th hangs a little longer also.
The BFG KO's are a lot heavier than the factory tires.
My wife wouldn't let me buy the new tires and put them on the factory wheels so she had to pick out a set of new wheels.
Jeep Gladiator New tires, finally befoer and after.latest

I wasn't going to argue with her.
I had bought a complete black plasti dipkit to paint the factory wheels black that's now sitting on my workbench. $60 wasted
Maybe I'll sell the kit for $30 shipping include

I don't, but I do have a 1 inch Teraflex spacer that I'll be installing soon just to bring the front end up a little.

We help sellers get multiple offer for their car in as little as one business day.
It was time to change the factory tires, I dang near wore them out. I just had Discount Tire put on Falken Wildpeaks in 285/70/R17 and I really love the look.

I know this thread is a few months old but did you re-programmed for the new tire size before noticing the 2 MPG drop?

No I didn't have it reprogrammed yet.
The speedometer is off about 2 mph at 65-75
I did call my dealer one day to have it reprogrammed and the "new" service advisor said they don't work on transmissions?
I tried to explain to him how they do it but finally gave up. I just love when they hire people with zero experience.
As for the drop in mpg's, I calculate mileage/ gallons. Just to verify the trip computer.

I think the MPG would improve if pre-programmed since the shift points are slightly off. That happened to JK I had when I did 33". After using the procal I regained some of the lost MPG.

3.73 gears? Interested to see how it does please post back in about 5k miles with your experience
Just reporting back, the new tires are great, I never have any trouble hitting 8th gear but I didn't really expect to....makes me wonder though, if I had gone with 295/70/17's. I'm loving the Wildpeaks though, they seem like a great tire and they handle water like the old ones did.

Only thing I found was I have to get an LT after I leave 285-70 size. Which adds some weight
