Mine ha
Mine has been cold shifting into reverse hard for 47,000 miles. Its got 107,000 on it now. Honestly I can remember it doing that much earlier than that.
So that hard cold reverse shift means what ? Pump bad ? Clutches ? Torque converter ?
The hard shift into reverse is not normal. When i got the funky shift between 3rd and 4th , with the check engine light that was when i took mine in.
Have you ever dropped the pan and checked the fluid condition and the magnets for metal???
Mine was burnt bad and tons of metal.
Most likely is the D clutch assembly like mine.
Also have you ever scaned for any trouble codes? Even with the check engine light off, any codes should still be there.

Yes I scanned for codes , nothing there. And I have had my filter and fluid change once about 19,000 miles ago .I was getting some funky shift between 3rd and 4th until I recalibrate tire size . When it first started giving me a rough shift dropping super quick into 4th( only did it If it was cold) I adjusted by watching at which RPM it wanted to shift and as soon as it gets to that place in 3rd I left off the fuel and it shifts into 4th everytime then it's hammer down as usual..😂 additionally I only experience hard reverse shift if it is cold .after it warms up smooth as silk. I think all these transmissions act just a little different . I drive 65 miles 1 way to work everyday and it is super duper curvy and steep up and down and windy lots of in and out of every gear.

Absolutely - there can be pending codes, or things that don't set the MIL.

Just got a p733 code when the check engine light came on. Says incorrect 3rd gear ratio. Whatever that means. The only thing different lately was a loud clunk when shifting into reverse, but only after sitting overnight. Dealer says fluid is completely burnt. Waiting on authorization for the replace.
What just happened???

Does anyone know where a transmission could be taken to ,to be rebuilt/remanufactured.... I am trying to get an idea of cost also associated with a rebuild verses a brand new or used transmission.

Call Americas Most Wanted 4x4 in Michigan, you can buy a new take off with very few miles for a good price. They will ship anywhere.

^^ that will be your safest bet and from what I understand they're pretty fair with the prices too

Should I run another scan ? I checked here a while back .. I didn't know that codes could be in there and not kick the light off. ...hmm learn something everytime I get in this site that's why I love this site.
