Good Afternoon!

I was recently at Beasley’s knob trail, riding with some other jeeps from town. And I have run into some clearance issues with my full width Rugged Ridge HD bumper. This is the first time I have been wheeling with the recently installed 2 inch AEV lift and 37 inch KO2 tires. I have installed the APEX Autolynx which is phenomenal and gives awesome articulation.

With that being said I have ordered the Next Venture Adventure front stubby bumper and skid plate combo to cure the tire clearance issues. My question is -has anyone installed one of these bumpers on a Mojave here on the forum? I am looking to see what others have done about relocating the shock reservoirs. Thinking about either mounting them to the top of the front bumper or against the inner fenders. I have posted some pictures below. You can see in the tire lugs chipped where the bumper was catching!

Thanks for the link, I checked them out. However I do not think it will work because of how the winch tray is mounted.

Well we will see when the bumper comes in. I was under the assumption it was more than likely made for a Rubicon and would have to change up resi mounting locations.

Dont have that bumper but I did move mine cause i didnt like how low it was and wanted a better location for reaching in and make adjustments. BTW, i also am running into clearance issues since I installed my Apex sway bar discos and will be making the change for a mid or stubby.

How do you like your Dobinson's shocks? I'm looking to redo the factory Mojave suspension soon

The Dobinson shocks and springs have been great! The weight I added with the bumpers, winch, Smart cap etc caused about 2in of sag, front bump stops were bottoming out on speed bumps and was getting swaying when turning. After the 3in Dobinson/Metal Cloak lift all that went away. It retained the Mojave feel of the OEM shocks which was a concern after reading how rough the rides could be with some lift kits. It handles amazing on those down hill mountain roads and is a very comfortable ride. I keep both low and high compressions settings on the stiffter side when driving on pavement and I soften the high compression when offroading. A lot of the trails I do are very rocky and bumpy and the Mojave just eats it up without being bounced around which makes for a more enjoyable offroading time. I highly recommend them, just make sure you get the geometry correct with adjustable control arms and track bars. I also upgraded my steering stablizer for the 37s.

Did you install the NextVenture bumper? How is it? Any difference in how often you hit your bump stops? Considering NextVenture vs. RockHard aluminum
