It's that little 1 that is the issue. It means "when properly equipped" as in the optional tow package. The tow package "lite" gives you the 6,000 lb max tow capability. The "Max Tow" package gets you up into the 7k plus range.Nighthawks are rated at 6000 lbs, even without the tow package

Dp7 has that package as noted... I do like how that package in 2025 gives you the Aux switches. Mine doesn't in 2023. I miss those having them in my Ram 2500 with accessories. Trailer hitch zoom is nice. Just a plus sign in red in the corner of the screen that blows it up.
SO, check carefully. Be Sure to order or buy one that has the tow package as I did find one that does NOT have it and so is at the 4500 lb max tow. Not a biggie for most, likely, but reduced potential might get you on trade in if anyone is paying attention.
