Do what @Gren71 said and reset your radio to the default settings.

If that does not work, pull the "F97" fuse, close and lock the hood, shut and lock the vehicle and let it sit for a hour or so and then reinsert the F97 fuse and check again. Looks like your radio is out of sync and needs a cold reboot.

Restore Radio by Software..same problem
Plug out the Radio fuse and in again
test...same problem
plug out fuse again und close hood and car

now waiting 1 Hour

it needs an obdII port reader to work

It probably wont be an error code.

if its a bluetooth OBD reader you can use it with the Jscan app. The Jscan app has a LOT of modules that allow you to change settings you otherwise couldn’t.

Hello Friends,
I am Sebastian From Germany and i need your Help

on my jeep gladiator the complete "defrost" function of the windshield does not work. I get neither cold nor warm air on the windscreen. Also not on a mix setting together with the footwell.
It is a 3.6l petrol engine from 2020.
Does anyone know the problem or has tips or solutions?

Like already said - I know people born and raised and supposedly educated here in the states who can't ask where the restroom is without problems.

There is actually a TSB - technical service bulletin, out for 2020.
But that's for cases where it doesn't get air up there in any mode or using any method of getting defrost.

It does sound like a control or calibration issue - electronics.

So the defrost works with the manual controls and NOT the radio.

Maybe an option inside Jscan can reset that? I looked quick and found this, but im on the road so cant dig into it

Could also go to settings in radio, scroll to the bottom, and hit “restore settings to default” and see if that corrects it.

To use Jscan, in addition to the wireless adapter previously mention, you need a set of bypass cables to bypass the Security Gateway module and plug your adapter into that. Plugging your adapter in without the bypass cables will let you read OBDII info, it will not let you run bi-directional command items like the HVAC calibration test without the bypass cables.

?‍ i forgot that part.

in the Jscan app you need to pay to use it with your gladiator. Its a one time charge for each VIN you get.

you also need the bypass the security gateway as mentioned. There are a couple options. You can get a bypass module and install that. Or Use the bypass cable @Hootbro linked.

There is nothing where the air can go to the window i think.
