Joining the Jeep family for the first time. Just got a 2024 Gladiator Mojave a couple of weeks ago. This is kind of a dream car purchase and I was able to take advantage of great incentives a couple of weeks ago. Looking forward to learning how to get it dirty!

Dale, shut this forum off, run, run ,run , if you stay, you will be spending stupid money on things you don’t even know exist today but you will want them. You will find yourself lying about the cost of things , and trying to hide packages before your family sees them , soon after you will tell the family to go on vacation without you , knowing you can install a lot of stuff they have no idea you have…..Hi my name is Jack and I am a Jeepoholic!šŸ˜Žā€¦ā€¦..Welcome!

Haha! This was awesome. And honestly, probably very good advice. That I will now proceed to pretend I didn't see . . .

Honestly though, I'm not made of money. I have learned how to pace myself. Although there are MANY temptations out there for the Jeeps!

Thanks for the great post.

Welcome! I just got my Mojave about a month ago. Still a noob, myself. There is a lot out there for mods, I'm navigating the 'needs' vs the 'wants'. So, I've done rubber floor mats, window vent visors and a spray-in bed liner. Next up is the need for a canopy. I have a deposit on the Addax one that should release this month, but worry it won't. So, I may cancel and get something that is already in production and has been around a while.

Anyway, going slow and researching ALL the options is best practice.

My advise, take it out a few times to see what works for you and doesn’t. I learned on my JTM that I do not need to do anything under the truck except skid plates. I have traveled a lot on the west coast trails and utah. I haven’t been anywhere that I needed extra lift, different gearing etc… We choose to put our $$ towards creature comforts, storage, power for appliances and getting our overland trailer setup the way we like it. Just my .02 cents.

I will echo some others. Take her out and see what the trails tell you want you need to do. After making a few trails, then going to Moab and doing a Hell's Revenge and Fins & Things, I opted for a lift and skid\slider upgrades. I will be at EJS for the first time this years and plan to attempt Steel Bender, Metal Masher, Poison Spider, Top of the World... you get the picture I want some badges.

Welcome!!! I don’t know where you live….but…

Get yourself prepared for the spring & summer - LET’S GET NAKED!!!!

Start looking at options at removing your hard top & removing your doors. Because…afterall….. You can’t buy it and NOT get naked!! 😃

My husband built a hoist setup in the ceiling of our garage and we bought a ā€˜door cart’ for the doors.

Just enjoy it for what it is…. You’ll KNOW when and what types of mods you wanna do!! Have fun with it!!

I wish I could have that access in my garage... two motorcycles and other stuff, so no room to back in truck. I'm half debating on using the post of my old outdoor basketball hoop to make a hoist on that. Or I'm just going to buy the EZ4x4 Lift.
