Not sure where to post: Does anyone fit a kart (shifter kart) in the back?

Trying to get my son (well… and me) into karting and wanted to just see if anyone else was doing so and if a kart fits in the back without much drama.

Anyone?

That's going to depend on what size kart you're going with.

An adult kart is 4 1/2 feet wide with wheels on and like 6' 6" long.

So that would be a no on an adult kart just fitting in the bed.

What you can do is build a platform that is bed rail high with d-rings for tie downs and put the kart on the platform. Gives you storage underneath for tools, tires, fuel, parts.

Nothing yet! lol.

Looking to get something and get started with my son.

And honestly having a hard time finding a nice how to, overwhelming.

But I’m not a genius, so I’ll likely just buy a 2 stroke and a helmet and go for it.

Getting into a shifter kart for the first time with a young one might be a bit much for him. He can get into trouble real quick with a 250 kart.

Yea, I’m using the wrong nomenclature, I mean a proper junior cart for him, I think that means a 125 geared appropriately. He’s 9 and the juniors seem to be 8 and up and some of the more serious folks starting even younger.
