Young kids minds are not restrained like ours. They see opportunity and options.
A couple of years ago, my wife and I needed some logistical options. We ran several scenarios and got close to a solution but not quite there, then my wife had a brilliant idea. She asked our 12 year old daughter to look at the situation. Low and behold, she came up with a completely different idea than we had and it worked. We had to tweak it a little to fit guidelines but it worked. Her mind was not restrained by years of looking at and working with the process.
Now, teenagers LOOK for the loophole. No question about it.
