Reminds me of a local bar that used to have a special on pickled eggs for a quarter each or three for a dollar.

Back in High School, we had a local greasy spoon place on a busy state highway that sold a lot of fried fast foods. The meal combos were always like a couple bucks more than if you just ordered the items separate. Locals were hip to it but it got through traffic customers that stopped.

When I worked for Goodyear. They would have these sales where you buy 3 tires and get the 4th free. Well.........they would jack the price of the tires up for the duration of the sale. Prices were cheaper per tire before and after the sale.
