I actually did this at the Loves on the outskirts of St Louis, when we stopped for gas on a road trip. Very shady characters hanging out. (About 2 in the morning). I put $10 in the tank, and continued on down to another Loves about 20 miles further. My wife asked me why when I asked for the pistol, and said “oh shit!” When I nodded in their direction.
