Opie is a time traveler. Cannon wise, Happy days was set middle to late 1950's to early 1960's. Andy Griffith Show was in period correct from it's 1960-1968 original run and verified by the new car models that showed up every year. Andy Griffith the actor did state the wholesome tone and themes were modeled on 1930's and 1940's.

I know, I am "that guy" ruining shit. I blame @ShadowsPapa .

The Andy Griffith show was started as an episode of the Danny Thomas show as I recall.

The cars on that show were a total giveaway of the time period. Man, those huge, heavy, bulky Fords of the first couple of years....... beasts.

Go ahead, blame me - if you hadn't dun it, it's possible I would have
HA

I know the first few years. the tow truck Gomer Pyle and later Goober Pyle drove was a very early 1950's Chevy. Later years was a then current Ford truck.

Jokes aside - it's a real thing. My gallbladder surgery was far more expensive than most because of what they found once they got in there. For cancer, it's similar, and there's exploratory surgery. I know people joke - but it's a big a thing with people as it is with cars. Sometimes the extent isn't known until you open it (or them) up.

Sorry, I just pulled a Hootbro............ 😁

I keep the list on my phone and when a doctor's office asks, I simply pull up the list on my phone and show them. I am very afraid of saying some of those names for the reason you pointed out! LOL

First wifey died from ovarian cancer. She fought it for 3.5 yrs. Every 21 days was a chemo treatment. Treatment were $28,000 each. Throw in blood work, pet scans, mri's, doctors, surgeries. Total bill was $3.5 million. Because of my insurance at work. I only had to pay $3,500 per year. After she past away. Insurance at work changed.

I'm sorry for your loss. Mandy had her last dose of oral chemo Monday. 5 years. Tough fight.
