How can it be an Olympic event if no woman could ever qualify for the team?
My wife could!
Years ago the company I worked for had an office in the downtown area. The guys I worked with never wanted to drive over there because they couldn't parallel park. They always made me drive.
One day we were at lunch at place with a patio on the street side. My wife was coming over to meet us for lunch. There was a spot right in front of us on the street. My wife pulled up and parallel parked the car in one try, no curb rash and right where she should be in the spot. I just looked at my coworkers and didn't say a word!

When my daughter was getting her driver's license. I took her out in my 1999 Dodge 1500 4x4 regular cab short bed. Took her on all the narrow back roads I could find. Plus made her parallel park it. And turning into parking spots coming from the left and right sides. She had no problems parking that truck. Once she got her license. She would sometimes take the truck to school. Suddenly all the boys wanted to be friends with her.

So that backfired on you, huh? ;)

Reminds me of my son and him getting his license. He failed the first time (for a stupid reason) not for parallel parking , although he could have done better. So I had him practicing in our driveway. I put down ropes on the ground and traced out very tight spots to get in. He was pretty stressed starting out but after a few days he was nailing it every time. Goes to take the test and he whips the Jeep into the parallel park spot so fast I don't think the instructor had gotten the words completely out of his mouth. Instructor looked at him and says, "looks like you've been practicing". My son said afterwards how easy the test was. Reminded him that when you practice hard for something once you need to do it it's radically easier.
