Go into a machine shop and see how many have lost body parts. When I worked at Elliott. At least once every 2 weeks. Some machinist would have something come loose and fly out from a lathe or milling machine. The fun machine was the flat grinder that used magnets to hold the work piece down. If you didn't get the surface really clean before placing the piece in place. You could count on that piece to go flying off the magnet table if you took too big of a bit grinding. They had the grinder facing the aisle first. After about the 3rd piece to go flying across the aisle. They moved it so that anything to go flying would hit a wall.I thought it was a hiring requirement for shop teachers to have healed wounds from the shop. Wood shop teacher was missing 2/3 of a pinky or pointer finger (don’t remember which one exactly), metal shop teacher had an eye patch.
And the friggin fan!!!!!!!
Can I get an “AMEN”!!!!!!
