I used to live 23 miles from the Jack Daniels distillery. On the other hand I can't remember for the life of me what CD I bought first. But I do remember having a Pioneer 6 disc magazine CD player. It had all the gadgets for back in the day. Bought it at Circuit City which also no longer exists. All good things must come to an end. Blockbuster, carrying a rifle in the back window and not getting in trouble for it or having it stolen, etc etc.

Back in the day when I was on the Marine Corps Rifle Team we competed at the Tennessee State Rifle Championship in Oak Ridge. While there we went down and did the Jack Daniels Distillery tour. Was quite an amazing property. Beautiful scenery also.
If you ever venture into Oak Ridge I highly recommend Big Ed’s Pizza. Some of the highest quality people, service, and food you will find. Well 20 years ago anyway.

My sister did the JD tour and really liked it.

Can't stand onions....or sit down for them. Ever had an actual Italian pizza? kinda bland! I prefer mine Mediterranean style with kalamata olives, artichokes, goat cheese....lots of meat too. Gotta have flavor....ohh and extra sauce!

'Cause in Merica we over salt and over sugar everything. The joy in European food is the freshness and non-GMOness of it all. My wife has some food sensitivities and her doc said she could probably eat anything in Europe and be fine. She was.

Related... HBO has Stanley Tucci Finds Italy (or something) series where he tours the country eating food. It's awesome when you compare real Italian to America-Italian (I'm Italian, fwiw).

Sausage, mushrooms, black olives, onions, green peppers, thin crust, olive oil and pesto, heavy on the cheese, no nasty ass tomato paste/sauce. Maybe some pepperoni if I’m feeling it.

Mushrooms and eggplant on my pizza with tomato sauce, before I stopped eating meat, Mushrooms and pepperoni. Gotta be from a actual Italian restaurant as well, ran by Italians.

I had a revelation the other day on what a tumbleweed really was. My mind always thought that it was a type of plant or weed. But no... a tumble weed is just a dried up plant that is rolling in the wind. making it tumble... ie a tumbleweed.

My wife walked away from me.
