All of my lawn mowing money used to be spent at TG&Y. Bought a little Briggs and Stratton powered mini bike one summer after saving up all of my paper route and mowing funds.
My stepdad called the place Tear Grab and Yank, or Toys Guns and Yo-yos depending on his mood.
Miss stores like that. Especially Western Auto. I mean where else could a 12 year old save up and go buy a .22 rifle and a box of rounds to go help a neighbor eradicate his pond of turtles so that his stocked fish could thrive???
And look at the cushy suspension on that bad boy!

I’d love to give that a try, but in moderation. Rum used to be my drink of choice but about ten or twelve years ago it started making me blind, or very blurry vision anyway. Can’t complain though because it switched me over to Bourbon and I’ve been a distinguished gentleman ever since. At a much greater cost I might add.

This is what my brother and I shared growing up...it was too much fun!

We also had an old 1975 Indian JX50, but it never ran very good, although I liked it better because it had way better suspension...

My old man took me from a 50 to an 80 in second grade and it scared the sh!t out of me. I got it over time but that jump was crazy to me ?.
