Snagged a set of OEM LED headlights for $200 today. They came off of a 2022, they will be going in my 21 Rubicon. My brother mentioned I may need the jumper harness to make the halos work. Has anyone done the upgrade on a 21 or newer and know if this is true. I don't really care if they have the halos or not and I already have the programmer and will do that once I get them installed tomorrow night.

You’ll need oem part 68347117AB to get the halls to work.

Yeah, you might need to adjust the ecm via jscan or a tazer but it should be pretty straight forward. Thankfully Jeep headlights are some of easiest to install.

21 and newer gas = NOTHING needed for Halo.
21 and newer diesel = short jumper needed on passenger side for Halo.

ONLY THE 2020's need the 'halo harness' wired to the BCM in the passenger kick panel.

All models need BCM told about the LEDs. Tazer, jscan, alfaobd etc

Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

Edit Sep 27: people are reading this thread and applying my comments to aftermarket LED swaps. This thread is about OEM LEDs and my comments apply ONLY TO THOSE.

I’m having this issue right now myself. I have a 2021 Sport S that came stock with the halogen headlights and fender DRLs. I swapped the headlight for one that has an LED switchback halo for the DRL/turn signals. The turn signals are working fine. The halo DRLs are not and only stay on with the ignition in RUN and engine OFF.

I’ll have to take another look at the BCM options in Jscan tomorrow.

I put LED headlight and reversing bulbs in my 2022 last week. No issues, but i guess i'm wrong.

Looks to me like you'll have to tap in to the parking light circuit for the halos, one of the reasons ($$) I just replaced bulbs.

....and......details on what your 2022 is? What it came with? Are you talking about OEM LEDs?

We are talking about OEM Jeep LED ASSEMBLIES with integrated DRL Halo.

Not 'bulbs'.

Jesus....

They also they come on when I start the engine, but turn off like 5 seconds later. I can’t figure out why they’re doing that either

So...not an OEM LED headlight? This thread is about OEM LED headlight swaps....the information posted does not relate to any 3rd party products.....

Yea 3rd party. Similar setup though…low beam, high beam, halo DRL all in one housing. The only difference I believe is my aftermarket one has the switchbacks for the turn signal.

That’s a major difference from the OEM headlights…
