Any reference points or standards for selling OEM wheel and tires and setting a baseline? Craigslist is all over the map on pricing, threads online vary greatly, and I cannot find any common reference point of % off MSRP. Anyone with experience doing this have recs?

Id look in a 75-100 mile radius from you and set your price as competitive as you’re willing. Ive always listed things like tires and such in a way they move as fast as possible. Ex: average price is $900, with lowest at $800…ill list for $750.

if you can’t get a feel for pricing maybe just set the real price you want and see if you get a bite. If not keep ratcheting down the price until you get the sale.

Thanks. I figure that is my most likely path, but I dread local Craigslist and the, "I'll give you $20 and a pack of cigs for it!"

If you list which OEM wheels and tires someone can give you a good idea of what to charge.

The biggest $$$$ getters are Rubicon and Mojave wheels with the 33 inch MT's.

Ive always had a positive experience with my local CL. I do have a section that I always type in to my listings where I say “no lowball offers, and I will not except a cashiers check mailed to me while you send someone else to pick up the merchandise. It’s a scam”

I also find that you tend to have a better experience with people when you offered to meet at a neutral location like police station or fire house. I’ve had more than one person tell me that’s the reason they sold to me…because I was willing to meet at a neutral location and not assume I was going to meet them at their home.

What wheels and tires do you have, what condition are they in, and how many miles on them?

Thanks. Took them off of my Mojave at 500 miles on the nose:

17–Inch x 7.5–Inch Low–Gloss Black Polished Wheels

Experiences in past areas I've lived in have been good on CL, but in the DFW metro area, it has been less than stellar. I agree on the neutral ground meetings.

do a search here in the forum for wheels and tires and click the Texas badge to filter only Texas ads. See what they have been selling for, and how quick they sold.

I know this doesn’t really help, but if you were a little closer to PA, I’d be interested in the tires.

I absolutely love the Falcon AT3’s on my 2012 JKR. Probably the first thing I do to my JT Willys is those exact tires (and size)!

$1500 is a little steep for takeoffs. I bought wild peak m/ts and the upgraded Rubicon rims off a forum member for $1000. He had them listed for $1200. Helped me put them on and I got the spare

Those wheels were a $995 option in ‘21.
I liked them well enuf over the standard wheels to order them.

$1200 starting point, make $1000 your bottom dollar. JT, JL, and some JK guys (forget what year the lug pattern changed) all will buy them. It's cheaper for them to get take offs from a higher trim than to buy new tires for their OEM trim level.
