I just did this trail this weekend for the third time. I know exactly the section you’re talking about (I had to wait there for about 15min for others to get through it). The trail is about 16 miles long, and takes between 2-3 hours depending on your speed, and if you stop at the pond to look for frogs with your kids.

FYI I did the whole trail in 4hi, for the spot you’re talking about it’s more about taking the right line than it is about loss of power/traction.
