I have a 2021 Wrangler and just upgraded from the 7" to 8.4" and having the EXACT same problem. I enabled ORP with JSCAN, it shows up on the head unit, but I only get two of the 5 gauges to show data. JSCAN had me confirm in the Radio module that the VIN matches the vehicle, which it does.

However, if I leave my ECRI SGW bypass connected, I get all 5 gauges just fine. I am also conversing with JSCAN to see if they have any ideas but I think I have run out of options with them too.

I did not attach the cellular antenna and do not plan to. I have also upgraded the firmware to the latest I can find, 39.6.

I have been told by a few that Tazer can do this successfully, but I suspect these users leave the Tazer connected in which case it's also acting as a SGW bypass and that's why it works. If I knew FOR SURE that the Tazer could enable full functionality of ORP, without having to leave it in or another SGW bypass I'd get one.

I guess I could just leave the ECRI module installed, they say it's fine to leave it there. I'd just have to remove it for service, just like with a Tazer. And I already own the ECRI SGW bypass.

Curious, I have a 8.4 screen from Infotainment Dot Com and used a Tazer Mini to activate Off Road Pages. Aside from the mobile services and GPS map updates, everything seems to run fine. There's clearly a way to unlock these things.
Quick question, is your Tazer Mini still connected? I can get my Off-Road Pages to work too activated from JSCAN, but only if I leave the ECRI SGW bypass installed. If I remove the ECRI SGW bypass I only get 2 of the 5 gauges on my Wrangler. I'm pretty sure the Tazers also act as a SGW bypass as well, so if it's still connected and it works for you then that might be why.

If you have all the gauges and do NOT have the Tazer currently connected, then that's a different situation. Might be enough for me to spring for a Tazer to program my ORP vs JSCAN.

What OBD2 reader are you using...Im wondering if ALFAOBD would be a better option, I know its pretty robust. I have also talked with Jscan, we didn't really get anywhere with the scenario. I have a Pedal Monster plugged into my OBD so keeping a tazer in isn't really an option for me (I really like the Pedal Monster)

I am using the OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner to do the programming from JSCAN, and the ECRI SGW bypass module to allow the programming to happen. The Tazer goes in the SGW port, not the OBDII port as far as I know. At least it did when I owned one a while back and stupidly sold it.

The programming took because I now have ORP pages on my 8.4" screen now. The problem is I only have live data on 2 of the 5 gauges unless I leave the ECRI SGW bypass module installed - then I get all 5. As soon as I plug the SGW cables back into the factory module I lose 3 of the 5 gauges.

I am considering just leaving the ECRI module in place of the SGW module, and just pull it out if I take it to the dealer.

You are correct, I completely forgot where it plugged into. At least you have 2, I only have battery info and Im showing locked all the time. It might be time to give a tazer a chance...

I just bought a brand new 8.4 from All Mopar Parts to upgrade from the 7". I'm wondering if I'll have issues with ORP. I have a Jscan and was assuming I could enable ORP through there.

For me the Tazer Mini live function that automatically disables the license plate illumination lights while reversing is worth the $300, all the other features are gravy. :)

Have you tried leaving whatever SGW bypass module you used plugged in and testing it that way to see if you get all the gauges working? I can get all 5 of my gauges to show live data as long as the ECRI SGW bypass is left in the vehicle. Or is that where your Pedal Monster plugs in as well?

You can enable ORP I'm sure like I did. The question will be if the gauges all work without having the SGW bypass module connected all the time. That's the only way I can get all my gauges to work and show live data.

Interestingly, I have the 8.4" with Nav. installed from the factory. 99% of the time, OffRoad pages works fine. Sometimes I access it to see elevations when traveling, and also to check temps on hot days, and whilst towing my 27', 5,300 lb travel trailer to make sure all is both hunky and dory.

There has been that rare occasion where I go to the screen to activate it after a fuel stop (shut off the truck, go empty one tank....mine , and then fill the other) and the icon has disappeared.

Strange, to say the least.

Next fuel stop after re-start, it appears again.

Has happened a few times...go figger... ? ? ? ? ?

I can do that for about 30 bucks..........

Back on the radio and ORP........
Every module of these trucks has to do a handshake. There's a security key that has to match. If it doesn't, and the PCM does a "ok, kids, check in with mama" then that radio isn't going to respond. At least that's how it works with the body and other modules. If that key doesn't match, they may as well be speaking Canadian while the other part is speaking Russian.
It's akin to the PSK in network security. The key must match.
On these radios, I can't say if they go through that or not - but if it finds the vin is different - it likely won't do real well.
I just don't think this is a "what tool do I need to change the settings" thing. Could be wrong - I think it's happened before.

I do not have an Android phone nor a Windows laptop, so ALFAOBD is out for me. It's either JSCAN or Tazer.

JSCAN had me check the radio module to be sure the VIN reported there matches my vehicle - and it does. I also read somewhere that the silly thing tries to do an OTA check to confirm your VIN is allowed to have ORP. Since I did not install the cellular antenna when I upgraded my 8.4" radio it cannot do that. I presume that's why it takes 1-2 minutes for ORP to actually show up on the screen as well.

I *do* have the Off-Road Pages now, and it shows all 5 gauges. The problem is that I only get live data on 2 of them when plugged back into factory SGW. If I leave my ECRI SGW Bypass in place, then all 5 gauges show live data and everything works fine. (NOTE: I have a Wrangler but would assume the JT would also have 5 gauges).

I'd like to be plugged into the factory SGW *and* have all 5 gauges working, but so far that doesn't seem like it will work. I will either need to leave the ECRI SGW bypass installed, or install a Tazer and leave it, which also acts as a SGW bypass I'm pretty sure.

Rumor is that Tazer can enable ORP *and* have all the gauges work *and* remove it from the vehicle too if you want, but nobody has confirmed that for me. Joe @ Z Automotive says it should work, but I'd like to hear it from someone who's actually doing this.

There has to be someone out there with a Gladiator or a Wrangler who has upgraded to the 8.4", enabled ORP with a Tazer, then removed the Tazer from the vehicle and it all still works? ;)
