Yep, but it's not a feature of Offroad +, so there was me, locker locked, stuck because I didn't have full use of the throttle for no reason apparent to me.

Offroad + is bordeline useless.
I’d like to know the specifics of your Jeep. Gear ratios, whether you were in 4low on that hill climb, t case low ratio, etc. it’s never once stopped me on a hill. Something else is contributing to this I’d think.

Ha! The M cars probably don’t need the tuning, it’s for the non-M to get closer to M shifting. But if he has the newest M4 (all-wheel drive), then they also have a product to change the drive modes (rwd only for drifting, awd bias, etc).
He does…..a 2025 w/ AWD. It has different drive modes and the ability to change all sorts of other stuff. It’s mind boggling…. He is excited to get past the break in— so he can stomp on the gas a little. He used to have an M340i ….so that extra turbo will get him in trouble. 😂

Wow, lots of bad information in this thread, reader beware. Offroad+ does different things depending upon t-case condition. In 4Hi, OffRoad+ & holding the TC off button for five seconds fully disengages TC and allows engaging the rear locker. Shift and throttle mapping change noticeably with the 3.6L. I honestly have yet to use it in 4Lo, but it is useful for the above reasons in 4Hi.

For those who've complained about TC intervention while in Offroad+, I suspect you're failing to fully disarm the traction control. Offroad+ de-rates the intervention but does not disarm it alone, offroad + TC button is key to maximize the benefit. For example, climbing up our mountains in the snow, in 4Hi, disabling TC stops throttle intervention upon wheel slip. The bit of rear end drift this allows works well through tight switchbacks.

Further note: To turn of TC (ESC) the vehicle must be stopped and the button held for 5 seconds. Unless Offroad+ is also enabled, ESC re-engages at a set speed, if enabled this does not occur.

The full complement of offroad features on a Rubicon are quite complex. It would help if stellantis published a decision tree of modes/settings and the parameters of each configuration. It is spelled out in the manual, but you have to piece it together to get the full picture.

I actually enjoy offroad+ I thank it works well , Have used it many times at off road parks you still have full range of gears and used with down hill asst works like rock crawl up and down hills each gear 1st to 8th has a specific MPH and uses what ever power is needed make rock crawling so smooth. There is a lot of tutorials on U-tube that can explain it mush better this i can .. But is a really cool feature i thank .

Offroad plus is a throttle response game changer.
