I found this thread today on the Wrangler side that points out something I did not realize in the earlier designed oil filter housing that has used a "Figure Eight" type seal for the oil/coolant and is prone to rolling on one side. This is the design that Dorman copied and it is hit or miss if replacing with a Dorman unit fixes anything in the long term.
Latest design gets rid of the Figure Eight gasket design and goes to a dedicated index gasket for each hole with a different material spec gasket for oil and coolant.
