Just curious what everyone else is seeing. Doing a long drive in a 30-50 mph headwind and I’ve seen a high of 235 degrees. Highest I’ve seen.

I don't usually keep track of it, but I've seen it go up to 235 when I was towing a 6000# wood chipper. But highest speed was around 55 anyways, since I didn't take any major highways.

On the 15' GC Eco, on the current pull, we ascended a 7 mile grade that averaged 7%. The load is the same trailer in my profile pic, a 14' Airstream 28, that scaled at 6300lbs. I always poll oil temp while towing, as it responds to heat load first, then the coolant right behind it. With a 35mph headwind, oil temp climbed to 265, with coolant at 235 @ 55 mph. Reduced speed to 45, and it settled at 245, coolant at 230. Transmission never exceeded 210. This is not the most stressful pull of this unit, but it was a good stress-test of an older, well-used tow vehicle. No alarms, no limp.
