I put that size on my Overland and it was fine. I put spacers on after a few weeks because I already bought them and I think it looks better.

Same here - not spacers, but a level kit from Rubicon Express. Plenty of room, running that very tire size.

AZJT,

For your Rubicon Express kit, did you notice any lift in the rear? My local outfitter (relatively well known and reputable) is stating that this is not just a level kit, but also produces some lift in the rear too. They are quoting shock extensions for front and rear, as well as geometry correction brackets for the control arms. I was under the assumption that there are only front spacers for this kit, and did not realize that any of the other components would produce lift. Smells a little stinky, so figured I would see what you say since it seems you have this kit (Rubicon Express JT7134 2" Lift Kit).

If there was any lift in the rear at all, it was negligible - at least visually, as I didn't noticed the rear come up at all. Apologies, I didn't take measurements before and after, but I certainly looked at it about 237 times before and after. More than anything, it lifted the front to match the rear, and now sits perfectly level (which was exactly what I was looking for). Note that I did the JT7134E kit which does in fact come with FRONT shock extensions.

I had the local 4 Wheel Parts shop put it in, and it has performed flawlessly. I know they also had to align it afterward. In short (after all that typing ), I did this kit only and the install - nothing else. Oh yeah, then I put the bigger tires on... Nitto Ridge Grapplers, 285/75/18s on the OEM rim.
