So I was on the Jeep website building a gladiator, and on the Sport/Sport S you can no longer get an LSD with the manual transmission. You can also now get alpine on the Sport S with just the 5" Uconnect, which I am totally fine with. What is up with the new configurator?

Sounds like they are cleaning up the bugs in the configuration builder. The dealership order guides had "N/A" for the anti-spin diff and selection of the 23S which is the manual transmission.

From the start the website configurator did not line up with what you could order at the dealership. You could print it out and take it to a dealer and find out you couldn't get it the way you wanted.

Can’t get cold weather group with a manual either. Upped the price on cold weather vs overland too.

I noticed you can now build a base Sport with Max Tow, which is awesome to me.

Does this mean you can actually get the alpine with the base 5.0” uconnect?

Sting Gray Sport S - Ordered 8/7, delivered 9/9
I noticed the changes too. When I ordered my Sting Gray Sport S August 7th the spray in bed liner was an option on the website configuration tool but at the dealership it was grayed out as an already picked option. Now the configuration tool still shows it as an option but it is selected automatically when I "build" the Sport S I ordered.

Original order guides had a note of "M/H AAN" which is a must have the Technology Group which included the 7.0" radio. I am not seeing that note on the later order guides. I would treat it as an omission typo unless other information shows a base radio 5.0" with the Alpine System can be had.

It was elected automatically? I also ordered aug 7th but it's not on the print out I got from the dealer.

Thanks, can't you get alpine with the 5.0" on the Wrangler Sport S?

At the dealer ir was grayed out and unable to be selected or de-selected. They did not know for sure but they thought that it may have been added as a mandatory option based on some other selection. I told them that was fine, I wanted it. If it didn't come with it I would just get it Line-X's. Dealer told me they will receive it Wednesday this week so we will see.

I had the same experience. Went to the dealership with an online configured Sport S configured with the Anti-Slip Diff and NO bed liner (planned to go Line-X as it had a better warranty).

Was told couldn't get the Diff and had to buy the bed liner. Ordered the Overland without the bed liner and with the Diff and but also was required to buy the slush mats. It's just funky.

Ive been waiting for 9/16 ish for the Gator Clear to be available on special order and have done a Jeep website JTR build nearly every day since May. Im just getting back from overseas and sat down to do my daily build, and noticed the winch capable bumper is no longer offered as an option. That bumper was a nice feature, but still required a $300+ winch bracket and another downside with the winch capable bumper option was it required you to include the LED lighting package upgrade for an additional $1K. For that kind of money you can get a aftermarket winch capable bumper and winch. Ive gone through the forums and have read that though the LED option cost may not seem justifiable, the LED's are literally night and day difference from the standard bulb performance, so i was expecting to bite the bullet and accept added option. Ive also seen other trim packages have other variation changes, including a MAX TOW option for the basic sport, which isnt a bad idea. Im just wondering what other options will go away as we close in on the end of year production....i thought i was doing pretty good with patience waiting until September, but holding out until January or February has me kinda antsy. Anyone else have the holdout blues?
