I started freshening up on my Scamp Deluxe T.T. in last few days. Started with pulling out axle that's started sagging from age. Found some "new" water damage that I've got to fix now. Did a pressure wash on it. So on the axle I "did" a 2 .25 in lift on it and ordered some tires and rims. My intention was to replace the water heater and lift. Well, being in use for better part of 13 years constantly added a lot of things to do. Anyone who has a RV after 5 years keep an eye on the water heater for leaks. The aluminum tank will corrode out even with anodes depending on the water quality. I replaced the tank over 5 years ago. Now I figured a tank less is worth while on weight saving and about due another tank.

BTW, a replacement axle is over $700.°° plus S&H and very heavy. 😖
So if I do end up replacing it I think I'll install a leaf springs and axle.

Save weight, less expensive easier to repair or replacement in future.
I had planned on heading out to do some Scuba diving but that got put on hold due to my tanks being sent out for hydro testing and the place that is doing it had an medical emergency so my tanks are in limbo there. Many hobbies and projects to do.

Yeah, spent last few days working on my Scamp, fiberglassing part of floor when water tank sets. That was after fiberglassing the area of the floor that was water damaged. Painted the bench that covers it, was walking out of my storage building and it pissed off a half dozen or so wasp of different types. That has slowed some things down now about a dozen or so stings in right arm. The only good out of it is my shoulders don't hurt much. Right forearm is swollen up like Popeyes arms. So back to re-installing the fresh water tank, needed some new water lines for it, drive to town to get some. As I get out I started walking to door and realized my wallet is at home. So a hour is wasted and it will be closed before I can get back. So home I go, then cut a RV water hose to use for line to 12v water pump. Partially filled tank find its got a slow dripping leak. 13 years of continuous use I'll probably end up replacing the tank.... later I've got 5-6 5 gal water jugs. I'm glad I decided to put a few drainage holes in fiberglass for any water leaks, and drilled out a larger hole for water tank drain valve. Cleaned refrigerator in RV, I'm waiting on few other parts anyway.
Still a dozen other things to do. Screen in porch, start working on Comanche, and XJ, Install lift kit on Gladiator, or say screw it take off camping for a few days.... whatever. I was planning on removing my R.T.T. and taking the Scamp to Florida at end of month it's got A.C. and meet up with a long time friend he's talking his boat for a few weeks. 🤔 Dropped off Scuba tanks to get hydroed the place doing it had a medical emergency so my tanks are in limbo anyway. :headbang:😔 So a glass of Ancient Age Kentucky Straight Bourbon and called it a night, catch up on some reading too.

My sister does some painting and drawings, some of her work is framed and displayed at one of her Dr. Offices. So I guess she does good work.

I did draw some but not much to be worth keeping. A few things that I did draw / design a long time ago was "good enough" that one got a patented and made. After I had become an adult I seen someone had made it. Hard to think some young kid could draw something that could become something. 🤔
Lesson. If you think up something patent it and do something with it or someone else will. But do it as a government employee, you won't get patent writes to it. Likely that someone who is a grandstanding will steal it or take credit for it.
A follow-up on the display case I'm making. Still trying to decide on background and if I put my awards and like stuff in it.

The rifle isn't a "issued model" but one I did for a display. I figured the bare aluminum and S.S. would look nice offsetting the black furniture. Plus risk of theft of real rifle.

Besides my Jeep Gladiator, I have big interest in traveling and taking pictures. My last trip was to Buenos Aires. Normally, I book tours because I don't like planning things myself. Haha, lol. It is easy way to feel city’s vibe and take lots of nice photos. When I use my Gladiator, I just drive and have fun with the ride. 📷

I often rely on service like https://gowithguide.com/argentina it is useful to find local guides.
Traveling like that I do miss, but most of my past traveling I couldn't be a shutterbug. Some I did in 90s was though along with video recording. I probably had a few hundred hours of video recordings traveling around Europe 1995-98.
