Anyone heading to show 25th-27th? I’m planning some trails on way up and back from Dallas. Any trail tagalong‘s or texas convoy participants are welcome. Will upload a route soon. General list below:

- Great Sand NP (Medano Pass)
- Colorado Springs (Phantom Canyon, Gold Camp Road, & Rampart Range Rd)
- Rocky Mountains NP & West of Loveland (Green Ridge Trail, Bald MNT, Deadman Rd, Old Flowers Rd, & Storm Mnt)
- Crested Butte (Schofield Pass, Paradise Divide, & Pearl Pass)
- Ouray (Engineer Pass, Ophir Pass, Black Bear Pass, & Stony Pass)
- Amarillo (Merus & Palo Duro Canyon)

Open to suggestions, routes will change based on at time trail conditions.

You won't be doing Black Bear. According to the Sheriff, Black Bear is closed, contrary to what Face Book off roaders tell ya. There are even some news stories about recent events on Black Bear by people that viewed Face Book posters as a credible authority on Black Bear being open. Everything else seems to be open. It is unlikely Black Bear will even open this year.

You can legitimately go up to the summit from the San Juan County side. Gates are fully open and they don't have an official notice anymore. Past that is the San Miguel side which is where you can land in trouble. I'm not going to get into the politics of how they have handled it this year but the view from the summit is worth the short trip up there.
