Do you guys have the 8” or 10” height option?
Curious on the total height from the top of cab to the top of camper.

even total height of truck if you have it.
What's funny is I am sure I did not order the taller cabover, but mine also measures at 10", and 12" total from the roof of the cab to the top edge of the camper. My crossbars which use 1x3" extruded cross bars + prinsu feet add another 3.5" about even with the top of my MaxxFan. My garage door is 8' and I have about 2-3" of clearance. I'm on a 1" lift over the Rubicon height and either 33s or 35s in the winter, both clear. If I put anything on my crossbars I do not clear.

I'm not built out fully yet. But may be heading down to Blue Lakes tomorrow. Up higher just to get away from people. Just for the day.
Blue lakes off 88? If your local I’d really like to check out one of these campers in person one day. My wife really wants to see some in person.

Nice not too far either. 2 hours or so from me.
Yeah, anytime you are in the area feel free to let either of us know. We will make time for you.

I do leave in August for a trip back east so I have some time pressure.

And if you ever find yourself out by the coast, I'm in Santa Rosa.
We all need to get together and check out what the other has going on with their camper build. Or just go camping

Hey all. I really want to get an ovrlnd camper. Just curious how if at all it changed the driving dynamics, particularly on the highway. I really like how my gladiator drives now, it’s SO much better on windy highways than my 2 door JK I don’t want to change that. Do you have do drive differently/slower now that you have the camper? I definitely don’t want to have to drive it like my 2 door, in the slow lane hanging on for dear life in the wind haha.

I haven't noticed anything different. Other than MPG. Yeah a strong crosswind makes a difference but overall it's mostly the same in my opinion.

What kind of difference? Do you need to counter steer a lot to stay in the lane? Sorry for all the questions, I just really want to gather as much info before to pull the trigger!

Well we are driving a brick so any crosswind makes a difference. If you're lifted then more so. Once I started building it out I needed stiffer springs so I opted for the Clayton Overland lift 2.5 with Hellwig swaybar, Metalcloak upgraded swaybar brackets. I don't notice a huge difference in lane movement on windy days. I can drive 75 if I want to but MPG suffers. So I choose no more than 72 MPH. Of course there will be an increase in stopping distance you will be heavier. But by far one of the lightest builds you can get. Mine was 250 before build out. Sitting around 400 currently. Aiming for no more than 700 total. But we shall see. There is always the OVRLND bivy option. Basically if you can dream it they can build it.
