In that order…
CEL code last week. Found out it was a P026D and suggested to clean the MAF sensor. Truck still ran great holding at 22mpg.
Didn’t get a chance to clean the MAF and then a few days later dash lights up like a Christmas tree. Truck shifts into limp mode.
Dropped off at a dealer and says the EGR needs to be replaced and will be done under the 100k warranty.
Just got off the phone with the dealer and they said we need to take the HPFP off toe get to EGR so they might as well replace (again).

Truck has 65k miles. Everyting sounds sensible to me. Dealer has been great.

Am I missing something? has this order of events happen to anyone else?

Diesel? Gas? I have a diesel, and you do not have to remove the fuel pump to get to the egr… it’s on the other end/side of the engine.

It’s a diesel. Maybe the dealer just decided to do the fuel pump (again) while they were in there? Are dealers required to address recalls whe pn a vehicle comes in for service?
