Hello, just curious if there is any Jeep tech here that can tell me what this code is. I searched anywhere online and I get different results. I have a scheduled appointment next week but just curious to know what this is. Below are the various meaning of the code I saw online. Thank you for looking.

I found two different definitions: Crankshaft Position Sensor, and Barometric Pressure Sensor.
Nice that this stuff is all standardized...

I found still others, VW had one that was totally different. One was a MAP sensor issue.

I worked with a comp sci professor for a few years. One of his favorite saying was "the nice thing about computer standards is that there are so many to choose from".

I worked with a comp sci professor for a few years. One of his favorite saying was "the nice thing about computer standards is that there are so many to choose from".
lol very true. I practice one of these many standards. 😆

I will check the software, but I think I have seen that code when the camshaft phazer position sensor has an issue.

Well P3092 is not defined in the public messages in the software. Couple different things. What acan tool are you using? Also it could be a proprietary DTC created by the manufacturer. This would lend itself to the VVT error as that system is a bit unique to the 3.6L. it also plays off the position sensing definition of the public message as shown above. If your acanner can log desired and actual cam position, rhis should surface the fault if that is what it actually is.

I had 2 different scan tools phone app connected to obd that I’ve used. The jscan app and another app from my dad. Both have this code but no clear definition. Just says manufacturer defined. Or no description.

also I will have to look into if these apps can check cam positions.
