Look for purple locktite. Low strength, designed for set screws and such, resists vibration. But it may require really opening up the center console to apply.

Here we go again. I yanked up on the P-brake handle today and nothing. Apparently the cables worked loose again. Dealer says they are backed up and want me to leave it for 3 days just to look at it. I'm going to work on it again but question in the meantime:

With an AT is there potential for damage parking it on a 3-4% sloped driveway? I had this happen on my JKUR with 80,000 + miles and never fixed it and the transmission didn't seem to suffer any.
If your holding your foot on the brake placing in park and easing it against the parking pawl no ypur not going to damage anything. I routinely do this on much much steeper inclines before pulling up on the E-Brake.
Have you tried oiling the cables and any cable sheaths ? Just curious ? Sorry it came loose again.

I had my mechanic check it out. He said the plastic base that holds the cable guide tubes is cracked. Tripto the dealer coming up.
