PCM Disconnect Not Working, Any Tips?

*At the end of the video I popped the top tab off, in order to reseat the disconnector.

One of my PCM disconnectors is stuck, any amount of forceful pressure feels like it is going to snap.

Normal pressure just pops the plastic disconnector off the connector.

I think I can just manually pry the tabs down with a small screw driver, but I'm really not wanting to do that.

Any tips?

I found this picture on a Charger forum. Just poke a pocket flathead from the top to unlock the connector. Getting it back on is going to be annoying. There is limited room and visibility.

I hate this type of connector with a passion. My last vehicle had one for the ABS actuator which had gone bad, the electrical connector was brittle and snapped. The annoyance of dealing with the connector plus the $1,300 replacement cost to the abs computer was enough for me to move on.

I'm just amazed at how shitty they are. I am mechanically inclined and have been working on cars for 20 years. I removed the intake and took my time removing the connector. It immediately just popped off. Not sure why they use such a delicate connector for this.

This video was a lifesaver. because it lead to you showing the same issue I was having... after placing a small flathead screw driver on top and tapping each one down slowly after 5 mins it came free.... including an image of the TOP of mine for others to see a clear picture of one being fully stuck from the top view and one showing one side once it finally was out far enough to wiggle the connector off.

also note on MINE the top locking tab is missing as it is cracked off which makes it so the LEVER doesnt work because the top tab is missing so the lever just pushes OUT away from the connector vs. pushing the taps on each side DOWN
