Pcv valve

Did you have to get whole tube assembly or just valve ? The back part looks alittle hard to get at to check. Part number for valve ? My tube number is 68261200AF my production is 8/22

I saw a video where a kid literally took off his wheel and fender etc. if you reach back, pull up on the tab, quarter turn counterclockwise and pull back on it.

Just the valve. My dealer had it in stock. The tube was loaded with oil and so was the old Pcv. I wish I had a new tube.

Just wash out the tube - mineral spirits, whatever, will work. Push a small cloth through it to remove anything else and it will be fine. The tubes are just that - a tube.
The "valve" in these is a lot different from the 1970s - it does the work sort of like my cyclone dust collectors on my woodworking equipment, or bead blasting equipment.

I highly suggest you install a oil catch can
Just make sure you empty it every 1000 miles depending on how much oil it is collecting
I have the UPR catch can on both my Wranglers and they work great

That’s not bad at all thanks. I was just always concerned catch cans would cause some type of vacuum leak.

you are just catching or removing the oil on its way to the vacuum port on the intake manifold

I'm following and studying.
It seems that port injected aren't as adversely affected as are direct injection engines, but that's still a lot of crud going back into the intake with the clean air.
I may go ahead and do one just to see what it gets.
Or maybe I'll just route a discharge hose somewhere underneath and plug the intake nipple ?

Oh, you mean a road draft tube...
There's a reason they're no longer used.

Maybe there’s a company that would like to give me one to test that’s watching lol and I know there is def oil going back in from the look of my tube from the Pcv to the intake. I was thinking about maybe using one of those intake cleaning kits but like you said multiport shoots gas anyway so I really don’t know too much info out there and I’m not a machanic lol

Probably with the 3.6 PUG and that means before Gladiator.
Otherwise, they'd not be able to simply put in the new version of the PCV in earlier Gladiators - it wouldn't fit.

Remember, for every ounce of oil you think you catch in a can, the pan level has to drop that same amount. So if you think you've caught 32 ounces of oil in 4,000 miles, your JT is a quart low or more.



The earlier design didn't separate out the oil from the air being evacuated from the crankcase.
No other reason - and there shouldn't be any performance issues unless you had excessive oil getting into the chamber.
You can look at spark plugs to help determine what's being burned in there......

I would just use a quality/brand injector cleaner, perhaps even Seafoam.

The intake valves on these don't gather carbon like direct injection engines do.
Not that it can't happen, but......it's not like the problem of the direct injected engines like the 2.0 and others.
