Odd one (I think) I dropped something between the drivers seat and the center console,,, normal 4x a day habit. I got out and went to the back as I learned chasing it from the drivers seat pushed said item into the “upside down” under the center console to never be seen again. I have the one piece weathertech floor mat and when I reached under that the carpet was soaked. Literally drivers side rear foot area was soaked with the water. Under the drivers seat was dry as was the rear passenger seat area. I figured the rear window could be leaking but the carpet under the back seat where the storage is, is bone dry. I thought the ac condensing under the floor mat could be wet but again the passenger side is dry. I have the factory hard top and have yet to remove any panels. The only water is the drivers side, back seat foot area.. could it be from the ac blowing under the seat over the muffler? Also worth mentioning the top of the floor mat is always dry just the carpet underneath.

I just had mine at the dealership on Monday with the same problem. I had Quadratec doorsill covers on my JT and they told me it was the doorsill cover. Dealership removed it and re-tested and told me they think that was the problem. I've been dealing with them for years so I trust their judgement. We'll see when the next rain comes or the next time I go through the car wash. That causes a leak in that location too. They did this under warranty but didn't have to since it was an after-market product. They said bring it back if the problem persists.

After I installed them I could see daylight through the driver's side door right where you're showing in your photograph.. I trimmed out a small part of the doorsill and it eliminated the daylight coming through but not the water.

Ordered clear vinyl strip so I could cut to size and have some doorsill protection. Good luck with your problem. Keep us posted if your find out anything. I'll do the same so we can get this solved. :like:

Will do… just soooo localized I noticed the ac vent blows under the mat and the heat from the muffler being right that maybe causing steam.. I’m going to take the mat out for a few days and see.

Ok. Rained here all-night last night. Checked my floor area this morning and it was dry. Hopefully the doorsill cover was my problem. Good luck with your problem. Hope you find and resolve soon.
