pickup bed crane

Has anyone tried installing a crane in their bed, to help get heavy objects into the bed? I'm thinking about this one from Harbor Freight but my concern is how to mount the thing.

Looks like it's not a great idea - I guess I'll have to find another way to get heavy stuff (like my wife's mobility scooter) into the bed.

Another option - one of those folding aluminum ramps and a cheap 1200 - 2500 pound winch which could be easily mounted in the front of the bed to be removed very easily when not needed.
I can think of several ways to do it.

This is the winch mount on my aluminum tilt bed trailer. It's intended to handle a 5,000+ pound winch. I can think of ways this could be mounted in a way it could be easily removed. Since it wouldn't be a load up high, the force would be easily handled by the truck's bed without issue at all. I can pull cars on with this rig.
