Does it drive poorly now with the mildly underpowered 3.6? I’m waffling between 35s and 37s with the 2” spacer. I’m in Colorado though so I’m already getting the limited power sapped at altitude.

I have not driven many miles yet but it feels slightly slower compared to my heavy 35s. I did notice it dropping to 5th gear instead of 6th coming up the mountain on the way home. I plan to regear but I could see how people can get away without though not ideal.

I ran 35s with the spacer lift and it looked okay but tires did look a bit small for it in my opinion.

If I lived back in Denver again I would regear sooner than later for sure.

Cheers

I'll take solace knowing it's not as bad as a 37" BFG measuring 35.5" ? Oh well, these are great tires and they look great regardless. I feel like they don't look too big or too small in person.

This is one of the reasons I wanted to find a 38" tire as it would be perfect, but I do not like the available 38x12.5 options at all (Ridge Grappler and Patagonia....pretty much it).

Cheers
The wheels look fantastic. Not exaggerating when I say they’re my favorite thus far. What are they? Sorry if this has been answered. How much do they weigh?

I’m near Denver, and mine are going on along with 5.13’s in two weeks. Was worried about performance going up the grades on 4.10’s.

So we’re in the same boat. Have you driven the 37’s here on stock gears? Is it bad?

I'll let SummitDan chime in but if you have an auto the Jeep will do it but will have more downshifting and revving. I know a guy here on 40s that is fine with stock gearing and dealing with our mountains but I wouldn't care for it. With a manual trans I wanted to regear my JLUR on 35s at sea level.

They all go on together in two weeks. So no. But we drive the passes like you do, and tow a 3k trailer. I didn’t want any loss of performance so decided to just do it. And I rock crawl it, and will more and more after the lift.

Thanks! They are US Wheel Rat Rod steelies in 17x8. They were powdercoated black from them and I spray painted bronze over it. They weigh 37 lbs each so not the lightest.

Cheers

That’s still pretty damn light. I think my stock rubicon alloys are heavier. How do they hold up off road, if you’ve tried to break them? :)

Perfect! Well if you document it, tag me! I won’t tow a trailer so for me it’s just driving the vehicle through the mountains.

The wheel tire combo comes in at 117 lbs per corner. There are certainly heavier wheels especially if you consider beadlocks.

Off road I have had no significant damage but I haven't rock crawled much at all yet. A benefit to steel is they bend instead of breaking lol. One of em was even hit by a car and just had scratches no dents or issues.

Cheers.

I was craving a Barnes Pritchett Canyon bumper set up before I saw a fella had one fail at the welds.
I have the pritchett canyon bumper on my Mojave and it has some of the best welds I've ever seen on a bumper. Its one of my favorite upgrades to my Mojave. I have pictures of the welds and bumper on my build page.

I tried to find the video of the guy that broke his and couldn’t find it. I’m kind of wondering if the manufacturer got him to take it down. I really like the look of it.

I believe you that it happened as no company has a perfect track record. All I can say is mine is built as strong as they come with some of the best looking welds I've seen. This bumper in my opinion just looks so good with the Mojave adding to the pre-runner desert look.

That’s a really nice bumper. Had I known about that one, I may have chosen it.
