I'd like to mount a light bar on the front bumper of my Sport S. Feels like all plastic... is there anything solid in there? Big self tapper screws? Cant get to the back side of the top. I'd be going in about 9" outside of the tow hook on each side.

You can mount through the plastic bumper.

If you take the small plastic trim off that is just behind the top of the bumper, you can feel indents in the location where I mounted my bar. Those indents are in the hard plastic that is behind the bumper cover. They are also not in the way of the metal bumper frame.

So, you can drill through the plastic in that area and mount through both plastics. However, I would still use some type of backer to spread the clamping force.

(Note that there may be other indents but for my purpose, I did not look for them.)

I just mounted some KC lights on brackets that quadratec sells. No drilling or modification necessary.
