Any suggestions appreciated.
Plugged in JL mini. Got the light on the module. Run not start. Went to audio screen. Then nothing. No marry, menu, nothing.
Dead in the water before I really got started!
TIA

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but did you do the steering wheel button combination as required once you were in the audio mode? I know it seems like an ancient Nintendo button move, but didja do that part?

Yes. I followed instructions and watched a few videos.
I'm updating in on my laptop right now to see if I can get past go.

10-4, just checking. Sorry it's not working for you - I got mine a few months back, and after I updated the firmware and plugged it in, it's worked fine (for the standard settings as well as the live settings). I have seen posts during the past year where some folks have stated that it's taken them 2-3 times of turning their vehicle on or off for it to 'take' and marry. Keep us updated.

Updated the Tazer mini. Still no response from steering wheel controls. I guess I'll unplug it and put the wires back. I have to run some errands. ☹

do you have the security bypass module? Not sure if the tazer needs it. but pretty much all other OBD2 units do in order to make changes to the JT.

I am not sure if I understand your question. The JL mini does not use the OBD2 port, just the security module plugs.

For the Tazer menus to show up, you have to be in the "radio menu" on your dash. For example, You should be seeing what song is playing on the radio instead of your gas mileage.

Yes. Thank you for replying.
I am in the audio screen. I get nothing from holding the left arrow and pressing cancel button on the other side. Light is illuminated on the Tazer. I've updated it before installing. I get nothing.

Got it working with help from Z automotive. They were very prompt on their email help line.
I had to do a recovery and reboot upgrade with their app on my laptop.
All is good.
Shout out to Ian at Z Automotive for the quick help. I am impressed.
