power step thoughts

So first world problem i know... but with the lift and 35s the struggle is real for my wife and daughter...
the gladiator came with the factory tubular side steps and i really do like these .... so here is the question is there a power step that will work with these... as fold away under in or behind them?? or is removing them for a power step the only option? if so what is a good choice for one that has the static running board rail with a drop step...i know the price of admission will be rough either way but trying to keep everyone happy lol

Rock slide engineering is the best if your actually going to use them as rock sliders

I second the RSE steps. Yes you need to lose the factory rails but the RSE steps cover the pinch seam. They are not cheap but they are the best IMHO.

Amp Research does them. I put them on my Ram 2500 and after 18 months perfect and great. I doubt they would do as REAL Rock sliders though and they are NOT cheap.

Edit: I just found out that Rough Country does them now also at $995 bucks. That's less than half and Rough Country makes some decent stuff if Not the best...

None of these retractables are real rock sliders but the closest look to be the Rock Slider Engineering ones as they are "steel" and their unique retractible approach should do some limited protection until you hit a piece of Moab rock that bends the steel housing and the steps can't get out or retract for the steps is my thinking.

I have the RockSlide Engineering steps on my former 2020 Rubicon JL and current 2023 JL370. Both have been tested offroad. The Rockslide Engineering offers extra protection if you want, and I did for my JL370 and slammed on some serious rocks without damage to the steps. Amazed. For my 2023 Mojave, I have Amp Research as I will not be offroading this except a beach trip. Due to covid, the Amp Research have not been installed yet, so I can't offer an experienced opinion.

Rockslide Engineering. If you plan on wheeling in rock, buy the add on armor. For mild to moderate wheeling, these are the best. They are solid and don't require any modifications to the factory wiring.

IMHO, the AMP steps are too complicated, to fragile and unless something has changed, require modifying the factory wiring.

I have the AMP and also had them on a previous truck. I’ve never had a single issue with either set. I would recommend them.
